I felt that after Crisis, Supergirl was really finding her feet and developing the season well. Unfortunately the two week break has somehow taken the zing out of the show.

Now it would be unfair of me to say this week’s  episode was bad, but it just wasn’t good. The story felt flat, the action seemed forced and showy while the narrative just seemed pointless. The only saving grace was every scene Lex Luthor was in as Jon Cryer continues to steal the show with his cold, ruthless yet incredibly witty performances.

While the writers continue drawing out the Leviathan threat its failing to build tension or suspense in their return. I am now just waiting for them to show up to get it over with rather than considering what the ramifications of their return will be.

Kara and William’s relationship is starting to blossom, just as I predicted all the way back in episode 4. I think Kara and William will make a great couple as they are the opposite Lois Lane and Clark Kent. If this turns into something serious only time will tell but it seems that Kara’s insecurities about her secret identity will be the major stumbling block.

Hopefully this weeks dip will be a one off and the show will return to form next week. If the final scene was enough to go on then next week could be very interesting.
