I love DC because of the 2015 open world video game, Batman: Arkham Knight. Arkham Knight is the latest game in the Arkham series, the story follows after Arkham City, the game is set on Halloween, Gotham has been evacuated and the only people left are the criminals, the police and Batman.

The player takes control of Batman who has to take down all of the criminals that are loose around Gotham, the villains include; The Riddler, The Penguin, Two Face, Man Bat and the mysterious Arkham Knight.

The Arkham Knight is a major part of the game and is always trying to kill Batman, throughout the game Batman is on the hunt to find out who the Arkham knight is under the mask. The story is excellent because all the villains have their own part in the story, bringing unique missions and brilliant cut scenes to the game.

Arkham Knight also has something that the other Arkham games don’t have a driveable Batmobile. While playing the game I started to put the puzzle together on whom the Arkham knight was because of the in game flashbacks and call-backs to some characters but it still didn’t take any of the joy out of the reveal.

If I hadn’t have known much about Batman I think the reveal would have had me saying “Who is that, oh wait didn’t they mention him earlier” but I knew the character and I absolutely loved the story surrounding the Arkham Knight.

The Batmobile is a great part of the game because it allows the player to drive around Gotham and chase after criminals. The Batmobile also has weapons that are similar to a tank, the “tank missions” are fun to begin with but after the first few they do get slightly repetitive and annoying.

The fighting in the game is the same as it is in the others but this is still great because the fighting in the game is well executed and is improved on compared to the earlier games in the series.

The graphics of the game are great and look great on the PS4, when playing I didn’t experience any frame rate drops which I wasn’t expecting and made the game more enjoyable because I didn’t feel un-immersed when the game slowed down.
Batman: Arkham Knight is favourite games out of the Arkham games it is also one of my favourite DC games and is also a reason why I love DC.
