I love DC because of the 2010 animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood. Under The Red Hood is a feature length animated film staring, Bruce Greenwood as Batman, Jensen Ackles as Red hood and John DiMaggio as The Joker.
Batman: Under The Red Hood’s story is excellent. The film starts with the tragic death of Jason Todd; the Joker beats Jason with a crowbar multiple times before leaving him in a locked room with a bomb. As batman is on his way to save him, the building blows up killing him; Batman finds the body and holds him in his arms. Five years later Batman is still protecting Gotham city but this time he doesn’t have a sidekick to help him anymore after the death of Jason. One night Batman is chasing some thief’s around the city; batman stops the truck but finds a box with Amazo inside.

During the fight with Amazo, Nightwing turns up and helps Batman takes down Amazo and takes him down together. After the fight Batman and Nightwing encounter a new villain in Gotham called The Red Hood, Batman peruses The Red Hood and finds out he is highly skilled and a great fighter. During the film Batman tries to put the pieces together on who The Red hood is while trying to stop him from killing some of his biggest enemies. The story is also full of flashbacks and memories of when Jason was still alive.

The flashbacks are great because they are used to show Batman’s relationship with Jason and also the flashbacks are used to help foreshadow the future. Under The Red Hood is full of plot twists and gets very emotional in scenes. The voice actors are great during the film making the viewer’s believe that they are the characters in the film, the emotions of the characters are very believable and the performances of all the actors can’t be faulted.
The animation in the film is absolutely flawless. The animation is smooth, the characters are drawn perfectly and the fight scenes are well made and are synced up to the audio without having any un-synced moments in the whole of the film. The animation works extremely well with the story making the film even more immersing.
In my option, Batman: Under The Red Hood is my favourite Batman film of all time.

I prefer it to any other animated batman films I have seen and even the live action Batman films. If I had to choose between The Christopher Nolan films or Under The Red Hood, I would choose Under the Red Hood without hesitation.
