If you are a fan of the shows our DCWorld writers are covering and talking about, then you have this man to thank for bringing them into your life to nerd to.
Greg Berlanti’s television career as a producer, writer, and director with Warner Brothers didn’t start in 2012 with Arrow, but in 2004 with a little show called Dawson’s Creek. From there he worked as an executive producer on big shows like Everwood (2002-2006) and Brothers and Sisters (2006-2011); writing episodes for shows like Dawson’s Creek, Everwood, Brothers and Sisters, and The Tomorrow People. Then in 2012, CW brought the superhero genre to the small screen with characters fans have seen but hadn’t been fully explored. Mr. Berlanti has become the King of Superhero Shows we all know and love today.
Not only has he brought Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Constantine, Black Lightning, Supergirl, and Titans to our small screen, guilty pleasure enjoyment. But he is working on bringing Batwoman, Stargirl, Doom Patrol, and I am sure others for fans to geek out as well. But that is just DC Comics. He is the EP of You (Lifetime), All American (CW), The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix), Riverdale (CW), Blindspot (NBC), and a few others in pre-development status.
With a seven year deal with Warner Brothers, fans of his shows can continue to look forward to what Mr. Berlanti has in store. So far, so good. And it just keeps getting better.
