We will be each posting an article, to put to you the people, why our nominee should go into the HOF Final in December. Here is the first entry into the DCWorld Hall of Fame August semi-final…

When I first think about Robin Lord Taylor’s portrayal of Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot aka The Penguin from the television series Gotham, it’s the admiration of a villain that is very likeable even maybe loveable. His exterior with his stylish suits, carefully chosen colour waistcoats, cufflinks and shoes makes him stand in the most unique way. Oswald’s hair is often styled to reflect what is happening with his emotions.

The nickname Penguin was given to him when he was an umbrella boy for Fish Mooney, Oswald detested it but learned to embrace it.

Oswald Cobblepot should never be underestimated he is extremely clever and always one step or even three steps ahead of his enemies. Oswald’s devotion for his mother Gertrude, was something to be admired. His ability and ambition to become the King of Gotham by the end of season one showed he knew where to find loyalty and show loyalty back.

One of the many things I admire about Oswald is during his rise and fall of power he never gave up. A true self made man that ran a clean election to become the Mayor of Gotham. He can talk his way out of any situation and being one of Gotham’s super villains he loves Gotham city and sees it very much his home. Oswald made it very clear to the Galavan’s in season 2 he’s a builder, not a destroyer and was enraged by Jerome’s chaos on Gotham.

Mr Robin Lord Taylor please take a bow because you have made one of DC’s ionic characters even more iconic.
