I don’t know much about The Watchmen. But when I heard Geoff Johns was writing a 12-series monthly comic book with The Watchmen and Justice League together, I knew I had to check it out.

The first comic starts in November of 1992. The world is in turmoil. Countries are threatening each other. Some invading. Businesses are being trashed and people are killing each other for survival. A person who calls himself “Rorschach” breaks The Marionette and The Mime out of prison for a job using their son as leverage. When they arrive a the old bunker of the Night Owl, they find Adrian Veidt. He’s the one who started the “End of the World” and wants to stop it. But he needs to find Dr. Manhattan who hasn’t been seen for years. At the end of the comic, Superman has a nightmare of the day his father died. It’s the first nightmare he’s ever had of anything.
