Synopsis “In the season two finale, nothing screams season finale more than a big wedding! As Ivy and Kite Man make final preparations, their special day is threatened to be derailed by and overzealous and scorned Commissioner Gordon”
The season finale is upon us. Everything we have been building towards played out exactly as you would expect from Harley Quinn, pure chaos. Will this be the final ever episode or will we see a season 3? I’m hoping we do see a return for the show, especially after the positive reception its received on E4 in the UK.
WEDDING BELLS
The day Kiteman never expected to happen is finally here. Kiteman’s dream wedding becoming a reality. Most weddings are a logistical nightmare anyway but throwing Ivy, Harley and the rest of Gothams underworld into the mix guarantees for a little bit of drama. A stand out moment of genius for this episode is Clayface’s performance serenading the proceedings. His operatic tones over what we have to watch was the perfect storm. I say more Clayface singing.
With the perfect penultimate episode last week, the only question on everyone’s mind was will the wedding happen. No spoilers here but all I will say is you need to watch this episode to believe it. There were no holds barred in this wedding with champagne, singing, flowers, Tim Burton and a Cobb squad reunion. The Runaway Bridesmaid packs a whole lot of action into a half hour show.
MVP
As the final episode it would only be right to award the final MVP to everyone involved in making such a fun, vibrant, unique and over the top show.
Warner Bros. Animation and Eshugadee productions who do such a great job in bringing these crazy, lesser known characters to life.
The amazing writers Adam Stein, Sabrina Jalees, Sarah Peters, Tom Hyndman, Sarah Nevada-Smith and Jamiesen Borak who every week deliver funny and engaging dialogue.
The directors Vinton Heuck, Colin Heck, Brandon Mckinney, Juan Meza-Leon, Tom Derosier, Christina Sotta and all the other technical people behind the scenes who make this work so well.
The voice cast Kayley Couco, Alan Tudyk, Lake Bell, Matt Oberg, Tony Hale, Jim Rash, Christopher Meloni, Diedrich Bader, Ron Funches, J.B. Smoove, Jason Alexander and all the other supporting actors and actresses who put everything on the line by making these characters speak to the audience in more ways than just reading lines in a script.
Finally the producers Patrick Schumacker, Justin Halpern, Dean Lorey and Sam Register for whom the show might never exist. Their tireless pursuit and determination to make this show a reality was worth every second.
