Hi all and well did I have an amazing weekend at London Film & Comic Con by Showmasters and although going to these for many years this year was probably my most fun ever. The event was held in the lovely Kensington Olympia and is a short train journey for me and has a great familiar layout each year with the guests in certain places and the dealer stalls in the main halls.

So Friday was the first day and I was in on opening, being a collector myself I went to find some guests I needed virtual que tickets to get autographs later on, basically they sign in batches of 1-50 and so on. Once the numbered ticket you got is in a batch called you can join the que to get your autographs (you pay for these and vary per guest) you can take your own items to get signed or use pictures that the guests have on the table you pay at.

I wanted to meet Ray Fisher who plays Cyborg in the justice league and as soon as he saw me he jumped up, gave me a hug and said how are you Paul, now I was chuffed he remembered me from previous events and thanked me and the support of DC World and says keep doing what we are doing and the stars do see and appreciate what us fans do. I got a couple of autographs from Ray and also a few photo shoots. I did get to video interview Ray later but my mistake the audio did not record but hope to meet him again one day and do another.

After this I was very excited to go and meet our new DC Superhero SHAZAM!! Actor Zachary Levi, was was only announced a few days ago to be at the event and I did not want to miss adding him to my list of DC characters to meet. So im at his desk and he was very chatty, we talked about being in London which he loves, Shazam and how fun the movie looks and he says it is very fun and think that DC needed this new tone in a movie, he also had music playing disco tunes at his desk. He signed my pictures and the next day I went back to him to get my Shazam T-Shirt signed too, we also had some very fun photo ops over the two days. Zachary is a great and fun guy and was an absolute pleasure to meet. I picture him like his character and he is very loving to his fans and thanks us all for supporting. I did throw in a mention of looking forward to seeing him with Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill in a scene one day in the near future too as Shazam, Black Adam and Superman, He smiled and said hey yea me too!!

Next up to meet was John Schneider and Tom Welling from Smallville. Now this was a special time as I was a Massive Smallville fan and followed it religiously to the end. I had always wanted to meet Tom to add him to my list of Supermen met and to get Clark Kent and Johnathan Kent on the same weekend was a special achievement for me. John Schneider was letting fans chat at his desk with him, sign pictures and some dukes of Hazard items too. I got my pictures signed and talked Smallville and then had a pic with him, he also gave me a digital download to one of his songs as he now has an album out. I also had some photo shoots later on with him and Tom.

Then I went over to Tom welling who was one guest I had to meet and purchased a Diamond pass for him which gave me one autograph and a photo op, I purchased a couple of extra autographs too and wow what a really nice guy he was. We talked a little on Smallville and what he has lined up which included a couple of movies but no names were mentioned, plus he is also up for a part in any of the DC TV shows we have now and he loves them all especially Supergirl. He said during his stage talk that its all upto us fans if we want something and support it then the studios and producers take it into account, all down to us and them spending the money!

Still left to meet was Non from Superman actor Jack O’ Halloran who was amazing and I missed him last as he was very ill and he mentioned he is a lot better now and I completed my Superman villains trio pic which I started last year with Sarah Douglas ( Ursa) and Terence Stamp (General Zod) Jack was very chatty too and was an honour to meet for me a Superman Fan.

So the Aquaman himself was also at LFCC and turned up from the afternoon and off I went to meet Jason Momoa for my third time of meeting him over the last few years. Well lets just say he still loves his Guiness and he wasn’t far from it. I got a new funko pop signed and the new Aquaman poster too, then later I had a couple of photo shoots with him and Ray Fisher together which ended up being very popular online and was a great moment. Whilst I was In the Photo op room Jason shouted at some people wearing I love Zack Snyder t-shirts behind me this….” Justice League was great, the Snyder cut is Better”

Now the chatter online is that a Zack Snyder version of Justice League is complete and almost 3 hours long and this just added either more speculation to if its coming or Jason was just adding to tease us fans and get us all going. I myself Hope that the Snyder Cut is coming and would love to see myself. Jason loved my Aquaman t- shirt and grabbed me for a Massive man hug then jumped on my back and said don’t drop me and we had our photo.

Finally I met agent Fox Mulder from The X Files. David Duchovny was at LFCC too and I just went for a photo op with him as I was a long time X Files fan and wanted to get a picture of meeting him. Yes I was wearing my Aquaman t-shirt as I had to run from one photo op to another happening a few minutes apart, always a fun experience at a convention.

After all my jobs were done I was then able to go look around the great dealer stalls and see come cool cosplayers, the friday was very hot but as saturday was cooler and  I saw a lot more cosplay on that day. The stalls sell items like artwork, toys, funko pops, collectors items and so much more.

There were also the Tumbler Batmobile from The Dark Knight Movies, Transformers Optimus Prime, Barricade and Bumblebee and more.

On the Saturday I was also able to go meet two of the actors from the Wonder Woman movie, Eugene Brave Rock and Said Taghmaoui were also at LFCC and I went to meet them for an autograph and also they let you take a picture with them at the desk at no extra charge which some guests do. They were both very chatty we talked about getting the roles in Wonder Woman, working with Gal Gadot and also WW84 which was very interesting. I think some surprises are coming in WW84 so stay tuned.

Well thats it from me and my adventures at London Film And Comic Con by Showmasters and can not wait until the next one, they are having one in March 2019 which will be a great break after Christmas as that period seems to take ages to the next con.

One of the best highlights was meeting some DC World fans at the event, they came up and said hi and this was a great feeling to be recognised and appreciated by them, may I thank all of you and for supporting all we do at DC World.
