It is with great sadness that DC World must report the very sad passing of Margot Kidder.

To all readers of this website, Margot was THE Lois Lane, arguably the best.

After starting in various movies, including the slasher flick Black Christmas, it was when she was cast as Lois Lane in the 1978 film, Superman: The Movie.  The movie made her a household name and is a role she has become synonymous with.

Margot went on to star in all four Superman movies alongside Christopher Reeve, a pairing that should go down as one of the greatest pairings in movie history.

After Superman she went on to star in many more movies, various tv shows and voice acting on animation.  However, it is Superman she will always be known for.

Out of respect, I will not go in to any personal issues she may have had over the years, however, the DC World will be indebted to what she did with the character of Lois Lane.

Margot can fly once again with Superman.  May she Rest In Peace.

The thoughts from all at DC World are with Margots’ friends and family at this difficult time.
