After the success of the DCWorld Hall of Fame last year, we have some announcements that DC fans are going to hopefully love for 2018!
The Hall of Fame will begin again in February this year and the team are getting nominations together, as well as a new Hall of Fame section coming to the website launching in 2017!
World Cup 2018
To go along with FIFA’s Football World Cup this year, DCWorld are running a Cup of our own! We have chosen 16 heroes and 16 villains to go into a 32 hero competition of our own! Each day we will run fixtures daily via voting polls. There will be 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss, exactly the same as the football equivalent.
The winning character, will be awarded a bonus place in the DCWorld Hall of Fame, meaning we will have 2 Hall of Famers crowned in 2018, one on the day of the FIFA 2018 World Cup Final, and one on 31st December 2018! How cool is that.
To go with this announcement, we have also already drawn the groups at random, the only thing that was set was that there are 2 heroes and 2 villains per group. 1st and 2nd place from each group go through, and fixtures will be made from the same fixture structure as the FIFA World Cup!
