For many comic book fans, they love both Justice League and Avengers.  But for some like us at DCWorld, Justice League is the one that we are excited about, that we love and that we just couldn’t live without.

At MCM Comic Con London, Experience 12 did a questionnaire on all sorts of subjects including Gender, Ways to watch TV and the best social media sources.

MCM Chart by Experience12

There were a few surprises in this for me, but none less than the fact that a staggering 68% of people preferred Marvel to DC Comics.  We are all well aware that Marvel has done better in the Cinematic world for a long time, but DC has been trumping Marvel in the TV stakes for many years, with the likes of Flash, Arrow, Legends and Gotham all airing on TV each week, where Marvel’s shows are all on paid for service, Netflix.  A power ranking by Forbes in 2016 hailed Flash as the best superhero show, with Agents of SHIELD coming in 2nd place.

Now, all of this is evidently just opinion, but surely DC deserves much more credit and love than it currently gets from the general public.

When i gave SHIELD and Daredevil a go last year, I just could not get into them, they just didn’t feel made to the same quality of DC’s TV shows.  But perhaps that’s just me, as many people I know love the Marvel shows and don’t watch any of the DC counterparts.

In the findings by Experience12, we can also see that fans at MCM are much more excited about both Avengers and Star Wars than they are Justice League.  This is both not surprising but also heartbreaking to read.  DC have been doing a great job with building up to the Justice League, and it is only starting to get more exciting as we enter November.

I really hope that Snyder and co can prove people wrong with the latest DC Movie instalment.  DC should be on top of the cinematic universe, and they just need to be given the chance to shine.

I have a feeling that Justice League will be a much more family friendly film than BvS was, and I really do from the bottom of my heart, hope that more kids start wanting to be Batman instead of Iron Man, and Superman instead of Captain America.  Thor has never really drawn me the way that Aquaman already has and Wonder Woman’s movie was everything that a Black Widow movie could never be.

If we are drawing comparisons, from the start of the DC Cinematic universe compared to that of the Marvel universe, I think that DC is smashing it out of the park.  Justice League is make or break, and I really hope it is the film that makes Comic Con fans stop and realise, that DC is the superior super hero brand!
