Legends of Tomorrow is one of those shows that’s a bit like marmite, some people love it and some people hate it.  I’ve spoken to people in the past who just can’t stand the shows in general that are on The CW because of the ‘lazy scripting’ and the cheesy storylines.  In particular I can understand that point of view with Legends of Tomorrow – but I do feel if you watch episode by episode, it does get better as a season goes on, as it has proven in the previous 2 years.

This weeks episode was based around Amaya coming back to the team from 1942 Zambesi.  Sarah went to visit to her to persuade her to rejoin the team after they ended up with a Sabretooth tiger in 1870 at a circus show (as if Legends couldn’t get any more bizarre).

The show seems to be making a joke of the characters a lot more than usual.  Nate, Ray and Jefferson are in particular shown as morons in this episode, and I think this is all in an attempt by the writers to make us think that the Time Bureau are right in thinking that the Legends can’t handle fixing time.

There is a definite Lesbian relationship coming with Sarah Lance and that woman from the Time Bureau, who’s name escapes me, just I wish she would escape my screen.  As much as I have absolutely no issues with portraying LGBTQ relationships on the shows, in fact they should do that 100%, Sarah Lance’s relationships are starting to feel a little forced.  Every woman she comes across that isn’t a main character ends up falling in love with her, and I don’t understand why, it’s just so predictable.

The highlight of this episode was probably Victor Garber dressing up as a clown, that was kind of funny.

This episode gets a 5/10 from me, the early episodes always seem to be poor with Legends but I am positive that they can turn it around in the future episodes as the story properly builds.
