By now we all know what happened in the finale of Gotham. And it was pure brilliance. The best finale of not only Gotham, but the whole of Gotham and the Flarrowverse, introduced Soloman Grundy, Catwoman, the beginning of Batman and there were deaths too. What is next for Bruce Wayne after meeting Ra’s Al Ghul?

Will he don ‘the suit’?

As Batman fans and Gotham fans we need to get one thing straight. Bruce still is not Batman, just because he dressed all in black, kicked someone’s ass and stood on the corner of a high rise building as Batman would. He is a trainee vigilante and he wont wear the suit until the end of Gotham, when the series ends for good.

Will he get any Bat-tech or the Batmobile?

As mentioned above, Bruce is nothing but a trainee vigilante. Surely he has a lot more to learn from Alfred in fighting skills. But not only Alfred. Ra’s Al Ghul wasn’t introduced for one episode for Alfred to die and come back. We know that Bruce Wayne has a lot to learn, and he could learn a ot from the League of Assassins. With many more villains coming next season I expect to see Solomon Grundy, Penguin, Riddler, Joker, Scarecrow and more causing havoc in Gotham. Gordon isn’t going to be able to contain all of this on his own. Bruce Wayne is going to have to learn quick, but not quick enough to have all the tech. Tat would make it feel far too easy to become Batman.

Villains come to a head?

All of these villains in Gotham, and nobody apart from Jim Gordon to keep the city safe? That is a joke and he’s been doing a bad job of it. Anyone would think Jim Gordon was a superhero the way he has been shown in Gotham, and although Gotham was always meant to be the story of Jim, we know who the real hero is. As mentioned above, there is far too much evil in Gotham now, and I expect to see Bruce getting into scrapes with the likes of Oswald Cobblepot and co. in the next season.

Conclusion

Whatever happens in the next season, expect to be wondering why nobody is asking Bruce the question ‘Why so serious?’. Bruce is about to get a lot more intense, a lot more free and a lot more confident. And I for one can’t wait to see how he plays out as the uprising Batman next season.
