All The Right Feelings

The feelings were all there for this season finale. There is plenty of kick butt action from director and stunt coordinator James Bamford during over half of the episode. Along with great special effects and aerial flying from both Arrow and Mia from their bow and arrow as buildings are blown up.

There were also scenes of sentimental. Especially when Felicity passes the torch to Mia giving her Oliver’s old bow and arrow. Mia is hesitant at first to take it, but then pride to take the lead comes over her. “You have so much of your father in you” and “I wish I knew him” came between Felicity and Mia to bring a heartfelt tear to an eye. Especially since fans have known from the beginning of the season Oliver had not been around for some time. And in the end, she saves Star City like her father did.

There is also plenty sadness in the episode to last fans through the summer hiatus. There was a small reunion brought to the last episode. But unfortunately, the reunion wouldn’t last long. Fans said goodbye again to Roy Harper, Ben Turner, Laurel Lance/Black Siren, and Curtis Holt. Hopefully we will see them again soon.

Goodbye OTA

One of the biggest goodbyes though was to the OTA, Original Team Arrow. With a tearful goodbye in the bunker scene, fans saw the OTA together for the last time. With Emily Bett Rickard’s goodbye tweet a couple of months ago, fans knew she is not returning next fall. But the reality of it didn’t really set in until the three characters: John Diggle, Oliver Queen, and Felicity Smoak say goodbye to the bunker, and the lights go out with Oliver being the last to leave.

Crossover

Along with the endings, there is the beginning of the storyline for the epic crossover Crisis of Infinite Earths. One of the crossover characters makes a visit to Oliver and Felicity, setting up next season and what will take fans breaths away and keep sitting on the edge of their seats.

Arrow returns next fall with only 10 episodes left in the series! New night! New time! Tuesday nights after The Flash.
