In Part 1 of Elseworlds, Cisco showed Oliver and Barry what he saw in his vibe. Oliver, with his Flash skills, was able to draw what they were shown. Oliver, Kara, and Barry don’t know who the two people are, but with Wayne Tower in the background they know where to start. They are going to Gotham City. But before they can leave, they need help in finding out more about the lightening storm that seems to follow them and what they need to do to switch back. They first make a visit to John Diggle.

Kane Wolfman, Deathstroke’s son, is reeking havoc in Star City. Diggle and ARGUS officers try to bring him down, but the Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl save Diggle before Kane runs his sword through him. When Diggle realizes what happened and who saved him, he knows something is wrong because it’s never a good thing when the three of them get together.

Diggle and Curtis are given the same story as Team Flash and they are just as confused as they were. But Oliver decides to call Felicity and tells them not to tell her the situation. When Felicity arrives Barry, as Oliver, asks them to look into the lightening storm while they are in Gotham.

[My favorite scene!] ->As the trio are leaving, Oliver tries to talk Barry into not going because of his reputation in Gotham. They also argue about Batman’s existence:

Barry: If Gotham can handle the Batman, they can handle the Green Arrow.

Oliver: The Batman’s an urban legend.

Barry: Wait. You don’t believe in Batman’s real?

Oliver: He’s not real. He’s an urban legend concocted by the Gotham police department to scare criminals. I’m the original vigilante, Barry!

During their first stay in Gotham, they are arrested. After spending a few hours in a holding cell, they are released by bail. When they walk outside, an SUV and driver are waiting for them. They are then escorted to Wayne Tower where they are met with who paid their bail, Bruce Wayne’s cousin Kate Kain.

Back in Star City, Cisco and Caitlin make a visit to help Curtis and Felicity. When they are explaining about the lightening storm and how it followed Oliver and Barry from Central City, they let it slip about Barry and Oliver not being who they are. Felicity is shocked she didn’t notice and starts to compare herself with Iris when Cisco says she knew fairly quickly something was wrong. Caitlin later has a talk with Felicity trying to cheer her up in saying Iris has more experience with different realities than she does and she shouldn’t be hard on herself.

Back in Gotham, after hitting a couple of dead ends in finding Deegan, they are given information from Kate they can find him a Arkham Asylum as one of their doctors. Knowing there is going to be trouble, Kane goes to the basement of Wayne Tower where she dresses as Batwoman.

When the trio arrive at Arkham the don’t really have a plan to get in. It isn’t until Cisco, Caitlin, and Diggle show up with information about the lightening storm and who they saw. The lightening storm is a breach between dimensions trying to surface. They built a machine to understand more about it and where using it when who they thought was Jay Garrick came through but was coming in and out saying to get the book to make things right. They know Deegan has the book and decide they need to break into Arkham to get it. Kara has a few ideas to get in.

Kara brings in Caitlin as a patient who has been diagnosed with freezing abilities. The admissions nurse tells Kara they have a couple of those types of patients and lets her go through. In the meantime, Oliver and Diggle use Barry’s police badge and ARGUS as a way to get in the back door.

As Diggle and Oliver are looking for Deegan’s office, they go down a hallway with cells marked Cobblepot, Nigma, Isley, Karlo, even putting Marc Guggenheim in the mix before arriving at his door. When Deegan hears his name, he knows it’s Oliver. He pushes a button on his desk that opens all the cell doors at Arkham and gets away. Oliver and Diggle are able to put everyone back in their cells that are still inside. But a few inmates, including Psycho-Pirate, are able to get outside. But they don’t get too far. Before Barry is able to draw his bow, Batwoman comes in to take care of the job.

Back inside Arkham, Deegan has the book but is intercepted by Supergirl. She is able to get the book from him, but before she can take Deegan in he has gotten away. In the armory room, Nora Fries is holding up Killer Frost with Victor Fries’s freeze gun. Oliver tries to take down Nora with a lightening punch but it misses her and hits a crate full of Scarecrow’s fear toxin. The bottles shatter everywhere spreading the toxin in the air. Oliver and Barry start to hallucinate and start fighting their most dangerous enemies Reverse Flash and Malcolm Meryln. But they are really fighting each other. Batwoman steps in knocking them out allowing them to regain their senses.

Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries.

When they arrive back at ARGUS, they are met with, who they thought was Jay Garrick, but turns out to be Barry Allen from Earth-90. He tells them about Monitor, the man who gave Deegan the book. But before he can tell them anymore information, Cisco comes in to show Monitor on the news walking the streets of Star City. Barry, Oliver, Barry from Earth-90, and Kara go to him. Monitor tells them they are being tested for someone who is much stronger than him. He has been testing all the multi-verses to see which one is the strongest. He takes the book back and returns it to Deegan telling him to do better.

The episode ends with a new destiny written with Barry and Oliver as the Trigger Twins. They are in an alley when they find themselves in different clothes and see a newspaper with their pictures on it. Before they can really have what has happened sink through, they are met with a police car. Out of the squad car comes Wolfman, Diaz, and Merlyn. They can’t get away either because none of them are a speedster. As Diaz puts handcuffs on Oliver, he quickly takes out Diaz taking his gun and firing it at the car where Wolfman and Merlyn take cover. Oliver and Barry start running but don’t get far when Superman (in a black suit) stops them.
