This week’s episode may not have been as jammed back with action and answered questions as last week, but the writers can’t give everything out at once (there’s 23 episodes!). So here’s what happened to keep the story going:

[SPOILERS][SPOILERS]

Anatoly is back! He’s been exiled and takes hostages; killing one of them in front of Green Arrow to prove a point that he’s getting what he wants. As Anatoly is leaving he brings up about still being an “honorable man” because he could have gone after William. There are the questions: How long is William safe from Anatoly? What will change Anatoly’s mind from leaving William alone?
In the episode, Felicity and Curtis team up to find the hostages and find more info on the picture of Oliver as the Green Arrow to figure out who took it and when. They find each other to be a good team and decide to go into business together.
In the investigation into Oliver, the FBI becomes involved. Agent Watson doesn’t seem to be fooled by what is going on in Star City. After Oliver is cleared, Watson is determined to find the real truth.
Although Felicity and Curtis were able to find that the leaked picture was doctored to have Oliver’s face in the picture, they still couldn’t find out who did it. The team at first thought it was Adrian’s goodbye present. And then it was thought to be Anatoly who asked a ransom of $20 million for the release of the hostages (Which happened to be same amount that was given to the city to rebuild the police headquarters.). But it was found to not be Anatoly, when Green Arrow asked him as he was let go. “I told you. I am an honorable man,” said Anatoly to Green Arrow. There are the questions: What is Anatoly’s real definition of “honorable”? He may not have leaked it, but did someone he might be working for do it?
Diggle tells (only) Dinah about what really happened on Lien Yu. During the explosion he took shrapnel to his shoulder where he now has nerve damage. The damage has become degenerative.
After a father and son talk, Oliver finds that William is afraid his father will not come back and he would be alone. Oliver puts himself into William’s shoes, remembering when he lost his parents. With a tough decision to make, he decides he can’t be a target anymore and to keep his promise to William that he would be there. He asks Diggle to be the Green Arrow. “Star City needs the Green Arrow. It just can’t be me, anymore.”
